The Great Og Boatrace

The Great Og Boatrace

The great Og boatrace is held once a year at Wetpits. Children of the village (between the ages of 2 and 90) launch home-made model boats into the Og which then race downstream to the bridge where the swans nest.

A range of sumptuous prizes are awarded in a number of categories. The event works best when the Og is flowing strongly – normally between Easter and Whitsun.
